World expo is the top-class exhibition in the world and crucial platform for countries around the world to share their philosophies and success of economic and social development and enhance dialogue and cooperation.Since Expo is first held in 1851, 170years have past. On December 27th, Expo 2020 Dubai as well as Henan Week in China Pavilion opened in the same time in  both online and off line.Under the the theme "Innovation-driven development, win-win cooperation", Henan Week in China Pavilion aims to present the new achievements of "Four silk Roads", promoting global economic communication and pursuing for innovation and cooperation.

During the opening ceremony, Henan government signed a number of  economic cooperation agreements with countries or enterprises participated in the Expo, in area of aviation, trading, foreign investments and project developments, etc. The total contract amount is 42.329 million US dollars (CNY 26.9 millions).

The 2020 Dubai World Expo has been openning since October 1, 2021, and it will last for the following six months. A total of 192 countries and international organizations participate in the exhibition, atracting potentially 25 million visitors. Henan Week is sponsored by the People's Government of Henan Province and undertaken by the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

He Jinping, Vice Governor of Henan Provincial People's Government attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. He said the holding of the Henan Week of the China Pavilion provides a rare opportunity for Henan to improve communication and cooperation with participating countries and international organizations, promoting a high-level opening to the world. Henan will make good use of this valuable platform to fully display Henan’s new advantages, new opportunities, and new achievements in its economic and social development, so that the world can better understand Henan and make Henan better to the world.

He Jinping also introduced that in the next step, Henan hopes to further cooperation in three aspects with countries along the Belt and Road, especially with countries and regions from the middle east

The first is to expand pragmatic cooperation in aviation logistics and railway transportation by strengthening infrastructure construction in the transportation and logistics fields, together with more routes and operating shifts, setting up smooth and efficient logistics channels.

The second is to promote close contact of industry cooperation in fields such as equipment manufacturing, goods trade, cross-border e-commerce, tourism, biomedicine ,etc. and actively organize economic and trade exchange activities, striving to implement more industrial cooperation projects to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

The third is to build closer people-to-people ties, expanding exchanges and understanding in the fields of science and technology, education, art, sports, etc., to showcase the history, culture, customs, and development results of the two sides in an all-round and multi-angle manner, and to share development opportunities.

In recent years, Henan has had frequent economic and trade exchanges with Arab countries, and the areas of cooperation have continued to expand. From January to October this year, Henan Province and Arab countries totaled 19.38 billion yuan in imports and exports, of which 6.4335 billion yuan was in imports and exports with the UAE, a year-on-year increase of 30.7%.

At the end of his speech, He introduced that, the architectural appearance of China Pavilion is a combination of the traditional Chinese lantern and modern design, making the China Pavilion a magnificent and dignified looking. The lantern represents brightness, reunion, auspiciousness and happiness, and symbolizes that all countries in the world gather and communicate on the Expo platform to pursue prosperity and development.

Najib Ali, the executive director of EXPO 2020 Dubai, expressed that China Pavilion provided tourists from UAE and other countries abundant chances to learn and experience Chinese culture. “The communication and cooperation between Chinese and UAE corporations are close. At present, the numbers of Chinese corporations that set up branches in Dubai is rising, and we also expect that more corporations would make investment and business in Dubai.”, he said.

At the meeting, Deputy Governor of the People’s Government of Henan Province He Jinping, Deputy Consul General of Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in China Sa·Jeremy,and Park Kyung-yeol, the Curator of Zhengzhou Korea Trade Hall, Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Corporation launched together the online platform for Henan Week in China Pavilion of EXPO 2020 Dubai and Yupin Silk Road—China (Henan) Commodity Cloud Exhibition (UAE). It is reported that the Cloud Exhibition built up Into EXPO 2020 Dubai, “Henan Week” Activity, “Belt and Road Initiative” Construction in Henan, Corporations Recommendation, Investment in Henan and other sectors. At present, over 100 Henan corporations have participated the exhibition, with more than 100 registered website exhibitors and relevant exhibits.

At the opening ceremony, Henan Province Airport Group and Etihad Aviation Group jointly signed the Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation, according to which both parties will be committed to open a freight air route from Zhengzhou to Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE.

The Nile Machinery Co., Ltd and ISMAIL GOLD MINING came to an agreement regarding gold ore beneficiation plant via the platform. Zhengzhou Suiya Import & Export Trading Co.,Ltd. and Sievert-Hahne New Building Materials Co.,Ltd   signed strategic cooperation agreement.

After the opening ceremony, corporation representatives from Russia, Ukraine, Romania, India, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Serbia and other countries also held financial and trade discussions with relevant corporations from Henan and other provinces
