Brief introduction

RF-RO-1T/H integrated purified water producing unit is self-developed newly purified water treatment equipment, which based on introduction of international advanced technology and combination of domestic actual situation. The main component adopts the international most advanced imported reverse osmosis membrane as the main filter component. It is consist of stainless steel mechanical filter, stainless steel active carbon filter, stainless steel ion exchanger, stainless steel precision security filter, stainless steel multi–stage centrifugal pump, cycling back washing system, ion reclamation system, high and low voltage protection and control system, electric time-lag control system, conductivity current display system and reserve osmosis membrane filter system etc. The unit is made of the SUS304 sanitary stainless steel. The working principle of the reverse osmosis membrane is: enable solvent (water in general) to go through the reverse osmosis membrane to segregate, refine and concentrate. Reverse osmosis membrane can remove the impurities, colors and off-flavor, hazardous bacteria, virus, heavy metals, high modular organics, ion, fine particles and dissolved salt and etc. Desalting rate of single membrane is high than 99%. RO membrane filter has been widely used in water treatment of food, chemical, medicine, industry, sewage and etc.

1-2.3 Quartz sand filter

Function: get rid of turbidity, suspended matter, organic matter, colloid, ect. 

Put the Dia. 1.7-0.7mm quartz sand in the filter vessel. There will keep a large amount of suspended impurity when sand filter working, in order to ensure sand filter works normally, regular wash and back for the filter vessel must be done.

Backwash Control: Manual (automatic optional )

The filter should be washed once per day, back wash time is 10-20 minute.  

 

1-2.4 active carbon filter

RO system requires the inputting water (Silting Density Index) SDI≤5, residual chlorine <0.1mg/L.

Function: Remove the color, free chloride, organic matter, harmful matter, ect. The adsorption rate was about 60%. Dislodge peculiar smell, pigment, improve water clarity.  

Backwash one time per day, 15-30 minutes/time.

1-2.5 Soft filter(Resin filter)

The filter filled with Na ion exchange resin.

Function: Use the Na ion to permute Ca2+,Mg2+ ion, make the water hardness <0.03mmol/L. Prevent reverse osmosis surface generating incrustation, extend RO life and purify efficiency.

Back Control: manual (automatic optional ).

1-2.6 Micron filter

Function: Prevent large particles, bacteria, viruses into RO membrane, accuracy is 5um.

Attention: replace the PP cotton when the precision filter pressure gage showing exceed 0.3MPa; or when anterior-posterior pressure difference get 0.05-0.1Mpa.  

 

1-2.7 High pressure pump

Function: Provide filtration working pressure for reverse osmosis system which makes the inputting water pressure get 10kg, so as to meet inputting water pressure and outputting water amount.

Control: When raw water pressure get to 2kg, turn on the produce pure water switch, start the high pressure pump, start to produce pure water. Pressure protection switch equipped foregoing high pressure pump, the switch will turn off when the inputting water pressure under 1kg, and the high pressure pump stop working.

 

1-2.8 Reverse osmosis system

AHigh voltage protection relay

Hydraulic protection device will avoid unnecessary damage when hydraulic pressure exceeds rated pressure. That is, system will stop running automatically once over pressure.

BStainless Steel Mechanical Filter

The mechanical filter is made of SUS 304 stainless steel. Quartz sand is used to filter the impurities of original water as filter media, which can purity the original water and is convenient for back washing.

CStainless Steel Active Carbon Filter

The active carbon is made of the SUS304 stainless steel. High quality active carbon is used to   absorb color and off-flavor of original water as filter media, which can purify the color and adjust taste of original water and is convenient for back washing.

DStainless Steel Ion Exchanger

The ion exchanger is made of the SUS304 stainless steel. High quality 732 resin ion is used to filter and decrease effectively calcium and magnesium ion, sodium chloride ion of original water as exchanging media, which can adjust PH value, soften and adjust taste of original water and is convenient for back washing and regeneration of ion.

ELow Pressure Protection Switch

Fitted on the inlet of original water, low pressure protection switch is used to protect automatically multi-stage booster pump and avoid damage from idling of pump owing to water shortage by detecting if hydraulic pressure meet requirements.

FPrecision Protection Filter

The precision protection filter adopts high performance Polyvinyl acetate filter core and its hole diameter is only 0.2mu, which can filter residues remained in the water after pretreatment and prevent the residues flowing into RO membrane and blocking the membrane.

GMulti-stage Centrifugal High Pressure Pump

Multi-stage Centrifugal High Pressure Pump is used to boost the hydraulic pressure in operation system of RO purified water machine, which ensure to meet working pressure of the RO membrane. For details, please refer to the instructions of high pressure pump.

HWater feeding Solenoid Valve

The solenoid valve is fitted on the inlet of water. When RO machine is filled with water and stop running, solenoid valve will close automatically and cut off water feeding by high pressure pump to avoid water in RO machine reverse flowing.

IPurified Water Flow meter

Purified water flow meter adopts panel-typed instant display meter, which is good looking and accurate in measuring. It is used to display output of RO purified water machine.

JSewage flow meter

Sewage flow meter adopts panel-typed instant display meter, which is good looking and accurate in measuring. It is used to display amount of discharge of RO purified water machine.

KRO Membrane housing Component and Membrane

RO membrane housing is made of SUS304 stainless steel and polished internally and externally. Using ABS food level plastic of head, it has characteristic of durable in use, good looking and sanitation. RO membrane adopts world’s most advanced   membrane imported from USA, which ensure purified water produced meet the standard.

L Water Quality Conductivity Meter

Equipped with two conductivity meters, this system is able to detect conductivity range 0-2000us/cm of original water and purified water produced on-line.

MTime-lag Relay

High precision digital display relay mainly ensures accurate time lag start of automatic washing and high pressure pump.

Operation Instruction and Procedure

AUnpack and check every component to see if any defects during transportation, if all accompanied accessories and documents here.

BInstall horizontally machine to its right place and check carefully if all components in good condition and if all pipeline jointing be firmly fixed and sealed.

CConnect water inlet in the front of machine with the original water inlet, switch on water supply, and ensure water feeding is in normal pressure. If necessary, one set of 380V550W original water pump should be installed to   meet required hydraulic pressure of the system. (Power interface of original water pump has been reserved before delivery. please connect ends of three lines AM1, BM1 and CM1 in electric cabinet to relay and the other end to the original water pump.)

DLoosen the fasteners of RO membrane housing joint and connecting pipeline joint, unpack RO membrane and take it out, and put it into the housing, then clamp fastener of membrane housing joint and pipeline joint.

EOpen electrical box panel and check if every binding post is firmly fastened. Please connect well and tighten according to drawing if it become loose or dropped off at the interface.

FPlug in external power supply and connect wire to electrical box  terminals through plastic column at bottom of electrical box. The power supply is three phase and four wire: three live lines are separately connected to terminals L1, L2, L3, zero lines are connected to terminals N or O.  Turn off air switch in electrical box when connecting well, then close electrical box panel.

(!!!Please note: connect well earth line before switching on power supply for safe use)

 GOpen water outlet valve after switching power supply, turn off general power switch of control box, observe if power indicator is normal. Then press the “start” button to start system. In the manual condition, turn on original water pump, high pressure pump and cleaning pump switches and check if rotating direction of the pump is in conformance with the arrow. In case of reverse direction, only adjust randomly one connecting position of three live lines A, B or C corresponding main lines of motor pump.

HOpen flange covers of mechanical filter, active carbon filter and ion exchanger, and fill separately cleaned quartz sand, active carbon and Na ion into three filters, then fit flange covers (note: don’t fill them into filters slowly unless filters are filled with water).The filter media should be washed in advance, or automatically back washed in the filter.

IWhen everything is ready, start system to produce with automatic or manual mode (It has automatic and manual mode and the manual mode is default when starting.)

 JAfter choosing automatic mode, users can adjust pressure by pressure adjusting valve according to the purified water flow as indicated in flow meter. It should be enough that water flow is adjusted to rated output value of machine. The whole of operating system of the machine will adjust according to output situation: water level in purified storage tank will automatically control, that is, it will start and run automatically when the water level is lower than the lowest water level, on the contrary, it will stop running when exceed the lowest level. When choosing the automatic mode, time-lag washing time has been preset before delivery and don’t need to be set.

 KThe wiring terminals of liquid level automatic controller on purified water tank (11,12,13) have been reserved and controller can be fitted according to actual situation. (There are solenoid pressure switch buoyant ball and electric liquid level controller available.)

 

 LWhen choosing the manual mode, firstly open original water pump switch, the system will start the normal working when pressure of original water is not less than 0.15Mpa and low voltage protection can be switched on. 

        

MStart multi-stage high pressure pump, simultaneously, turn on washing switch and wash the system for 30-120 seconds, then turn off the washing switch. Pressure can be adjusted by pressure adjusting valve and it should be enough that water flow is adjusted to rated output value of machine.

dos and don’ts

AThe working pressure of three filters for pretreatment part should not be more than 0.35Mpa and pressure control value of switch should be set.

BThe working pressure of precision protection filter should not be more than 0.35Mpa.

CHigh pressure multi-stage centrifugal pump should exhaust air before start.

DIt should be shut down if users choose manual mode. Adjust high side pressure to 0.05Mpa by adjusting pressure switch before shun down the machine.

EIn case machine shut down for protection purpose, analysis the reason and restart after confirming everything is correct.

FBefore installation, ensure that the power supply is in conformance with the rated power 380V50Hz three-phase four-line and earth line should be well connected.

GIt is necessary to wash periodically RO membrane for prolonging service life and improving performance and efficiency of membrane. For details, please refer to maintenance.     

maintenance

APay attention to indication on original water inlet pressure meter and water inlet pressure meter in front of pump in the operation of machine. In case pressure difference indicated on pressure meters is more than or equal to 0.15MPa, the filter core should be replaced timely.

 

BStrictly guarantee to wash continuously for half of an hour to ensure service life of RO membrane before producing water.

CRO membrane should be washed for 10-20 minutes every one hour. Method: open original water valve to enable there’s no high side pressure.

DIn case of short-term pause of machine (within 3 days), pretreatment system equipment should be washed for 10 minutes every day according to washing procedure. Then switch off all valves to ensure vessels of components and circuit to be filled with water.

EIn case of short-term pause of machine (more than 3 days), RO membrane component should be filled with 1% sodium sulfite or Formaldehyde (open jointing on upper pipeline of membrane component and infuse with funnel until it is filled), which will avoid the bacteria breeding on the surface of the membrane. In case of long time pause of machine, it should be checked and operated once every month at least. In summer, surrounding temperature should be controlled to prevent it from mildewing. In winter, it should be taken anti-freeze measures, even can be filled with 10-20% oil if necessary.

FThree filters of pretreatment should be washed and back washed regularly, and regenerate the ion (in general once a week) to ensure the quality of the pretreated water.

 

Cleaning method

As machine operating for a long time, a great deal of deposit will stick on surface of RO membrane, which make desalting rate to drop sharply, conductivity become higher and output of the purified water decrease gradually, it is required chemical washing RO membrane component. Users should entrust the local sanitary or quality inspection authorities to test the quality of purified water and sewage every six months and draft effective washing program according to quality of water.

 

Cleaning method as below

AOpen purified water washing valve, put purified water into chemical washing water tank. Connect outlet of the sewage discharge pipe to the chemical washing water tank, dispensing and open the chemical washing valve.

BStart chemical washing pump and switch on all pressure switches. Then start high pressure pump to discharge primary washing solution, and remainder will be cycled. Check PH value. In case change value is more than 0.5 units, solution should be adjusted and prepared.

CThe prepared solution should be cycled in system of the machine for 30-60 minutes and be soaked for 1-2 hours, even overnight in worse condition. Then it should be washed with purified water for 10-30 minutes. Keep in mind that it should be washed before operating the machine.

 DPreparation of acid solution: PH value is 4, 2% Citric Acid solution+ ammonia,  temperature required is 40℃.

 EPreparation of alkali solution: PH value is 10, 2% sodium tripolyphosphate solution  +0.8% Na- EDTA (chelating agent), temperature required is 40 . Sometimes wash with NaOH water solution and PH value is less than 10,.
