Maleated Rosin and Fumarated Rosin

Characteristics:

Maleated Rosin called Fumarated Rosin, This series of resin made from gum rosin, unsaturated polybasic acid, and by series processes of polymerization,  stabilization and decolorization. This products exhibit high melting point, good water stability, easily soluble in esters, alcohols，alcohol-ethers and aminated-water. When used in pigments  preparation, maleated rosin effectively improve the coloration, glossiness, dispersity of the pigments.

Paint Industry:

1. Maleated Rosin and Fumarated Rosin are as the raw material for paint industry, which are widely used to produce desiccant,softener and artificial drying oiletc. Such as Rosin Resin react with calcium oxide and finial to be calcified rosin which is used to increased the hardness and water resistance of paint film in paint industry.the main roal of rosin in paint are make the paint more colorful,dry quickly and the paint film smooth not easy to fall off. The rosin consumption of paint is about mixed paint 8%, varnish 12%, spray paint 8%, anti-rust paint 6%, insulation paint 15%, etc.

2. Soap Industry

Rosin is cooked with caustic soda to form the rosin soap. Which is characterized by its soft and great anti-fouling power.which is easy to dissolve in water, also easy to foam,can dissolve in to the oil. So the rosin resin are widly used in soap industry.The quantity of the rosin which used in soap industry which are decided by the soap quality and the rosin&solvent oil quality.Generally the consumption of rosin is 15%-50% of the solvent oil.(Generally one ton soap use 0.5 ton solvent oil).which have a great requirement for the solvent oil quality and rosin quality. If we produce high quality soap or used the lower solvent oil, or the dark color solvent oil, we should used the more lighter rosin resin.

3. Paper Industry

Generally the Rosin Resin is used to the paper gluing progress.The ink is easy to soak through the thin paper, also can not be better dispersal the printing varnish.Generally in paper industry, The acceptable qualified Rosin resin is from the Leval N to leval F. Owing to the paper have the different grade and different category, so the quantity is different. Generally the average qty is 10kg rosin per ton paper.
