The Rashakai Special Economic Zone is located in KP province, close to the M1 expressway, 60 km from the provincial capital Peshawar and 120 km from Islamabad (1 hour to the capital city cluster). As an important node of "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor", enterprises in the project can enjoy all preferential policies basing on the special economic zone law. This project is the only one in KP province that enjoys such preferential policies. The planning area is 4 square kilometers, including processing manufacturing zone, logistics and warehousing zone, science and technology research zone and comprehensive commercial districts. The targeted industries are machinery manufacturing, household appliances, food processing and textile industries. It will be established as an important transfer station and the cooperation base of the trade between China, central Asia and west Asia.
