Diesel Generator Set

• 1. Diesel Engine:

Comply with the specified International IEC Standards, four-stroke, multi-cylinder, water-cooled, cold start, direct fuel injection, compression ignition.

• 2. Speed Governor:

The diesel engine was fitted with a speed governor which is to be fitted with speed control facilities to enable the engine speed to be adjusted from the local control panel.

• 3. Shutdown System:

The engine was fitted with a mechanically operated device which will shut off the fuel supply to engine when any of the specified alarm conditions occur.

• 4. Cooling System:

Vertical fan cooled sectional radiator, rated for the tropical site conditions was mounted at the end of the combined under base and driven from the diesel engine. The radiator was arranged to cool the engine jacket water and lubricating oil. The radiator is generously sized to permit operation at full load and overload in the specified ambient conditions.

• 5. Fuel:The engine was designed for operation on diesel fuel.

• 6. Starting System:

The set was supplied with a completely self-contained starting system consisting of an engine driven dynamo, a lead acid battery and battery charger.

• 7. Exhaust System:

The engine was efficiently silenced and be complete with primary and terminal silencer arrangements.

• 8. Alternator:

?Synchronous alternator, four pole and brushless excitation type, brushless rotating field, self-exciting and self-regulating type and comply with the relevant requirements of Specification I EC 60034 standard. Include Over Current Protection, Earth Fault Protection, IP-22 protection, class H.

?Standby power can be 10% engine overload at any power factor between unity and rated power factor for a maximum period of one hour in any 12 hour period as permitted by ISO 3046/11.

?All winding have tropicalized and suitably impregnated to withstand the site ambient conditions.

?The alternator include complete with all necessary cooling fans, excitation and voltage regulating equipment. Capable of maintaining its continuous maximum rated output when operating within + 5% of rated voltage and at rated power factor.

• 9. Mounting:

Complete unit was mounted on robust skid frame. Vibration mountings to be used where required.

• 10.  Fuel Tanks: The capacity about 8-10 hours full running time. 

• 11.  Outdoor Weather Protective Sound Attenuating Enclosure:

?Silent type generator set provide with a sound attenuated housing which allows the generator set to operate at full rated load in the ambient conditions. The enclosure can reduce the sound level of the generator set while operating at full rated load to below 70 dBA at 7 meter from the generator set. (The noise is different with different power) 

?The enclosure are including hinged doors for access to both sides of the engine and alternator, and the control equipment. A panel viewing window provide. Key locking door latches are provide for all doors. Door hinges are stainless steel.

?The enclosure is provide with an exhaust silencer, which is mounted outside of the enclosure, and allows the generator set package to meet specified sound level requirements. Silencer and exhaust include a rain cap and rain shield.

• 12. Testing at manufacture's works:

The complete diesel generator sets are subjecte to routing tests as per the standards specified, at the manufacturer's Works to verify that its performance is in accordance with the specifications.

The diesel generator can automatically shut down under following conditions.

?Low Oil Pressure ?High Engine Temperature ?Low Fuel Level ?Over/Under Speed ?Battery Charge Fail

• 15. Warranty:

Warranty period is one year or 1000 hours operation which ever occur first.
