2. Main functions

u The turbine control system can realize the startup and shutdown of the units automatically and manually. When the automatic system is out of run, the system can be operated manually. Two modes could be switched over without disturbance, the opening change caused by switched operation is less than or equal to 1% of the whole trip.

The hydraulic turbine control system is adaptive automatically.

It can automatically follow the no-load power grid frequency, and have the PID regulation rules with the characteristic of automatic compensation, making the unit frequency meet the synchronization requirement quickly .

The turbine control system could be operated under auto and manual operation modes, and provided with manual tracking function. Two modes can be switched over without disturbance. The opening change caused by the switchover is less than or equal to 1% of the whole trip, and it can maintain he stability after the switchover.

The control core of electrical parts is the programmable controller with high reliability, and the periphery components are imported (including buttons, knobs, etc.). AC and DC power are supplied and available simultaneously and standby for each other. Building block structure is convenient to be extension of function, maintenance and repaired.

Variety of interactive modes including the programmer interface, portable computer serial communication interface are provided in the turbine control system, to modify parameters and programs online or offline and ensure the data saved after power-off. Hydraulic turbine control system has a variety of independent operating parameters (proportional, integral, differential), and can switch them automatically according to the different working conditions, such as shutdown, no load, load and so on, to ensure the unit working in the optimum operating condition.

Turbine control system can real-time monitor the fluctuation of the grid, and select automatically optimum regulation and control parameters when the power grid has changes, to make the unit safe, work in the optimum operating condition and adapt various adverse changes in the grid. It is to say that it has the function of identifying the size of net by the regulating the load automatically.

Under stand-alone running, it could ensure the unit run steadily under each frequency between 90~110% of rated speed, and the frequency change should be under  0.2HZ.

Under the stand-alone or grid-connection operation, the unit could steadily and continuously regulate the output between 0%~110% of rated load.

The hydraulic turbine control system has the function of self diagnosis, which can monitor the components in real time. Once the fault occurs, it can automatically diagnose and display.

The hydraulic turbine control system have the following fault-tolerant functions:

u When the unit is operating with loads, and appearing the frequent failure of the machine, it could take the grid frequency automatically to keep the operation stable. If the frequency of grid frequency is also failure at the same time, the alarm signal will be sent out, and the opening degree is kept unchanged as that of good-running.

When appearing the failure of feedback signal of the unit operation within load and needleposition, the turbine control system will alarm automatically and keep opening operation in the same state before failure.

To ensure the unit operating safely, that is to say, under all kinds of fault conditions, it can ensure the unit stable work with load rejection automatically and quickly to the speed as it is in the state of no load, or according to the command signal, it will be reliable to achieve an emergency stop.
