Conical bottom silos are usually used in enterprises and projects with low capacities, different products and high filling-discharge frequencies. As in flat based silos, static calculations are made to arrange loads applied on body plate and poles in the most suitable way. Galvanized coating is applied on steel plates at 350 N/mm2 yielding strength and 450 N/mm2 tensile strength. Various options of conical angles enable storage of diverse products. For example, a lower conical angle of 450 degrees is adequate for discharge in a wheat silo whereas this angle should be increased to 600 degrees for oleiferous crops.
