【Intended Use】

This product is suitable for qualitative detection of monkeypox virus DNA in serum/plasma, throat swabs, saliva and other  lesions exudate samples. 

Monkeypox is a viral zoonotic disease with clinical manifestations similar to smallpox, but with milder disease. The disease  is caused by Monkeypox virus (MPV), which belongs to a virus group that includes smallpox and vaccinia viruses, but needs to be differentiated from smallpox and chickenpox. The virus can be transmitted from animals to humans through direct  close contact, and it can a lso spread from person to person. The main routes of infection include blood and body fluids.

【Principle】

This kit uses real-time fluorescent PCR detection technology, adopts a pair of specific primers and a specific fluorescent  probe of MPV, to realize the qualitative detection of MPV nucleic acid in serum/plasma, throat swab, saliva and other lesions  exudate samples. This kit is equipped with an internal control（IC）to monitor the extraction process and PCR amplification  process of the sample to be tested by detecting whether the internal standard is normal to avoid false negative PCR.

【Material Required but Not Provided】

Applicable Instrument: ABI 7500, ABI 7500 Fast and other Real-time fluorescence PCR instrument with FAM, VIC channels. Vortex shaker, palm centrifuge, pipette are needed.

The kits can be shipped and stored below 30℃ for 24 months.
