Transparent Audio Cable
The Transparent Audio Cable is used to connect the amplifier to the Transparent Speaker. This type of cable has no shielding layer. For this kind of wire, the key is to reduce its resistance. Because the output impedance of modern power amplifier is very low, the requirements for the Transparent Loud Wire are also increased. Large or multiple stranded wire. The wire is from pure copper to silver wire. The Transparent Loud Wire of the more expensive price is the special line of oxygen-free copper Transparent Speaker. Its main feature is good electrical conductivity and low resistivity. It uses it to increase the sound when playing back the sound.
What is Transparent Loud cable?
Transparent Loud Wire is the wire used for the electrical connections between Transparent Speakers and amplifier sources. Resistance is by far the most important. Low-resistance wire allows more of the source’s power through to the Transparent Speaker coil, meaning more power and more sound.
Generally speaking, resistance starts to have an effect on the performance of a Transparent Speaker when resistance is greater than 5% of the Transparent Speaker’s impedance. Resistance is affected by two key aspects: wire length and the cross sectional area of the wire. The shorter the wire is, the less resistance it will have.
The cross sectional area of the wire is referring to the thickness, or gauge, of the wire. The thicker a wire or the lower the gauge, the less resistance. It is therefore a combination between Transparent Speaker impedance, length and gauge that affects the resistance.
Thicker wires are better: It’s true that for long runs, thicker wires are better at reducing the effects of resistance. But for most set ups (those with Transparent Speakers within 100 ft of the amplifier), 16-gauge lamp cord is fine. For Transparent Speakers 100 to 200 ft. from the amp, experts suggest use 14 gauge. And from 200 to 400 ft., they recommend 12-gauge wires.
The Conducter
Copper is the most widely used material for Transparent Loud Wire due to its low cost and low resistance. However, copper does oxidise so it needs to be well covered and insulated.
