Dark green hexagonal crystal or amorphous olive-green powder with metallic sheen.
Specific gravity: 5.21g/cm3, Mons' hardness: 8.5-9, melting point: 2226±25℃.
Insoluble in water or acid. Soluble in hot alkali metal bromate solution. Extremely stable against light, air, high temperature and corrosive gases. High covering power.
Application
Chromic Oxide Green is mainly used in four field: metallurgy;refractory matter;pigment(ceramic, paint etc.);grinding materials. Also can be used in the new field of surface melt blowing of the metal and ceramic;producing chromium compound( carbon,nitrogen etc.)
