Flow Coupling
Flow couplings are heavy wall tubular components, which are utilized in completions and located adjacent to changes in the tubing ID. They are an important part of life-of-the-well completion planning and used where erosional turbulence caused by changes in the tubing ID or or across from perfortions. Flow couplings are generally connection OD and are available in 3, 4, 6 and 8 feet lengths.
Blast Joint
Blast joints are thick walled tubing joints placed adjacent to the well perforations. The thick walled tubing provides an erosion allowance from the high velocity jetting action at the perforations that also may carry abrasive debris from the well formation. The blaset joints are available in 10 or 20 feet lengths.
