Fluid Loss Additive

BT-F200 is a water-soluble synthetic polymer with strong dispersive properties in powder form，which can control fluid loss through Adsorption and aggregation reducing pore size and enhancing viscosity of water phase. BT-F200 additive is effective at temperatures higher than 400°F (204°C). BT-F200 additive can help control fluid losses in seawater slurries, salt-saturated slurries, and slurries containing 5% KCl or 2% CaCl2.

BT-F200 fluid-loss additive was developed as a less dispersive alternative to Halad?-413 fluid-loss additive. It has a broad range of applications and has been developed to meet response requirements in heavyweight slurries, seawater, and saturated salt designs. BT-F200 is designed for use in heavyweight (high-density), high-temperature slurries or any slurry that contains salt (2% up to saturated) with no loss of performance, it is the ideal fluid-loss additive for high-temperature, high-density slurries.

BT-F200  fluid-loss additive provides excellent fluid-loss control at high temperatures and is compatible with lower-temperature fluid-loss additives, such as BT-F900 Halad?-344? fluid-loss additive.BT-F200 fluid-loss additive is a dry powder that is easily and most commonly dry blended.In many cases, BT-F200 fluid-loss additive provides better fluid-loss control than Halad?-413? fluid-loss additive.Current slurry designs might need further evaluation of viscosity when BT-F200 fluid-loss additive is used as a one-for-one replacement of Halad-413 fluid-loss additive. In some cases, a dispersant material might need to be added with BT-F200 fluid-loss additive slurry designs. There can be some slight retardation at temperatures below 200°F (93.3°C).

BT-F200 may be used for fluid loss control in any API class cements (A, C, G, H or cement blends). It may be used with other cement additives such as Oil Energy’s dispersants, retarders and defoamers.
