Desilter Drilling fluids desilter

A desilter is the 4th phase purification equipment in the mud system. It holds similar principle and operational way as desander. However, the separation point will be finer. Depends on clients requirement, it can be set to different numbers hydrocyclone. Desilter cones are typically 4”, but some client will request 3”, 5” as well. So it is rather flexible on capacity configuration. Desilter can be fit with the bottom shaker or not. Or it can be combined with shaker and desander together to be the mud cleaner. We call desilter as the 3rd phase solids control equipment.
Under fluid shale shaker:
For a better separation result, many users will choose an under fluid shale shaker under desilter hydrocyclone assembly.
Solids phase discharged from desilter cyclone can be further separated by shale shaker. Useful mud falls into the tank for recycling.
Hydrocyclone Assy:
4’’ hydrocyclone is most widely used for desilter in the oil & gas drilling field. And quantity can customize per client's requirements, vary from 4 each to 24 each.

APCN series desilter is the third phase solids control equipment in a well-drilling mud system
Oilfield desilter separators are one of the important equipment for controlling the solids in the drilling fluid. The action is to remove the harmful solids, promote the drill fluid performance, and separate 15～47 μm solids particles accounting for over 60% of solids quantity. When the quick drilling is made in the soft formation, the shale shaker only can remove large solids particles, but the Hydrocylone Desilter separators can remove fine solids particles, fully promoting the solid's control efficiency. Therefore, it is especially suitable for the well site where the formation is considerably hard and the drilling speed is slower so that the cuttings are very fine in particle size.
