  The closed wound drainage unit (negative pressure drainage ball )can be combined with drainage tube, connecting tube, guide needle, drainage bag to form a surgical drainage catheter set, drainage catheter can be equipped with drainage bag or drainage ball.The drainage tube and connecting tube are made of silicone rubber or polyurethane material, the negative pressure drainage ball is made of silicone rubber material, the guide needle is made of stainless steel material, and the drainage bag is made of PVC material.

The closed wound drainage unit (Negative pressure drainage ball, negative pressure wound treatment)is a new technique developed in recent years for wound treatment.It uses a biological semi-permeable membrane to block open wounds and a public negative pressure machine to generate a certain negative pressure.Drainage tubes and dressings are applied to the wound after debridement.Studies have shown that this therapy can increase blood circulation to the wound area, promote angiogenesis into the wound surface, promote structural growth, facilitate adequate drainage, reduce edema, reduce infection, control bacterial growth, speed up wound healing, or create a prerequisite for wound healing.It is an effective, economical, pure physical therapy that promotes wound healing.

 The negative pressure drainage ball mainly consists of a ball (with a scale on the ball), a cover, a drain joint (drain connection, exhaust), a lock nut, a check valve and an auxiliary belt.

Performance of negative pressure drainage ball: the drainage ball should be sterilized after a confirmed sterilization process.The negative pressure drainage ball should be clean, transparent, smooth and free of any defects in the intended condition, such as when tested with normal vision or corrected vision at 2.5 magnification.The deviation of liquid volume indicated by the scale on the negative pressure drainage ball should be less than 15%.There should be no leakage between the drainage ball and the drain connector.The negative pressure drainage ball provides a negative pressure of more than 10kPa during recovery from compression and collapse.When the liquid level reaches the ball's highest mark, open the vent and extrude.

 Drainage tubes consist of silastic tubes with perforations to allow fluid to drain from the surgical wound site, or separate puncture holes close to the surgical area. The drainage is collected in a closed sterile collection system/reservoir or an open system that deposits the drainage on a sterile dressing. Drainage may vary depending on location and type of surgery. 

 Drains are usually sutured to the skin to prevent accidental removal. The drainage site is covered with a sterile dressing and should be checked periodically to ensure the drain is functioning effectively and that no leaking is occurring.
