The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Education mandated to coordinate the placement of Government-sponsored students to universities and colleges; disseminate information on available programmes, their costs and areas of study prioritised by the Government; collect and retain data relating to student placement; and develop career guidance programmes for the benefit of students, among other functions. It was established through the Universities Act, 2012. Therefore, the Placement Service is the Government agency with the mandate of providing career guidance programmes and services to students and undertaking the selection of  school graduates for admission to universities and colleges under the Government sponsorship programme. To achieve this, we work with various stakeholders in the education sector including secondary schools, universities, colleges, regulatory and professional bodies and other Government agencies.
