Guilin Power Capacitor Co., Ltd., doing business as GR Capacitors, was established in June 1967, with more than 40 years’ history and experience of manufacturing power capacitor. Nowadays, the market share has exceeded 20% in China.

We own the biggest ultra-high voltage power capacitor production base in the world with more than 50,000 Mvar capacity of HV power capacitors and 8000 pieces capacity of capacitor voltage transformers (hereinafter CVT). The output value has reached 25 million US$. Our R & D capability, production capability, testing condition and quality assurance have actualized upgrade.

There are three professional production lines that manufacture all-film capacitor, CVT and metallized-film capacitor.

The all-film capacitor production line mainly produces shunt capacitor, series capacitor and filter capacitor. It has 10 automatic winding machines, the purification level of winding room reaches 100 degree, and the vacuum level of vacuum tank is up to 0.133Pa.

The CVT production line mainly produces capacitor voltage transformer, coupling capacitor and circuit-breaker capacitor. It has 9 winding machines, the purification level of winding room reaches 300 degree, and the vacuum level of vacuum tank is up to 0.133Pa.

The self-healing capacitor production line mainly produces low-voltage metallized-film capacitor and dry-type capacitor with production capability of 4000Mvar Annual. It has 3 automatic winding machines.

We have a testing research laboratory and an ultra-high voltage testing hall. Our R&D level is the best in Chinese capacitor industry.

The testing research laboratory is the exclusive one in Chinese capacitor industry which can test and research on all the physics and chemistry performances and the structure of the solid and liquid dielectric. We can conduct type testing and other special testing such as: Life testing of shunt capacitor, series capacitor, filter capacitor. 

High Voltage Testing hall has the following equipments: 750kV testing transformer, 2400kV impulse voltage generator, 800kV standard capacitor, 2801、2876 electric bridge from Swiss, MODEL-5 partial discharge instrument from England, 9124 partial discharge testing system from Swiss, 2765 transformer verifying instrument from Swiss, etc. The routine test, type test and special test of capacitor voltage transformer can be carried out.

The high voltage testing hall is furnished With 1400kV testing transformer, 2400kV impulse voltage generator, 1000kV standard capacitor, 2801 & 2876 bridge from Switzerland, MODEL-5 partial discharge tester from Britain, 9124 partial discharge test system from Switzerland, 2765 transformer calibrator from Switzerland, etc.. We can conduct all test & research including routine tests, type tests and special tests of CVT.

We have passed quality system certification ISO9001 in 1997, with the quality management system conforming to ISO: 2000 standard, and passed environment system certification ISO14001: 2004 in 2006 and measurement and management system certification ISO10012-2003 in 2008.
