COSCO SHIPPING HEAVY INDUSTRY (DALIAN) Co.,Ltd. , founded in September 1992, with 1,600 regular employees is one of the core subsidiary enterprises of COSCO SHIPPING HEAVY INDUSTRY CO.,LTD., specializing in repair, conversion and newbuilding of merchant ships and offshore units. CHI (Dalian) has grown into the national leader of FPSO conversion and delivered 13 FPSO projects to clients including 2 EPC contracts from Petrobras for the conversion of P75&P77 FPSO. CHI (Dalian) has taken various projects such as: Ultra deepwater subsea support vessel, Module carrier with ice class, LNG carrier, the biggest drillship around world, Jack-up drilling platform, salvage vessel, product oil tanker, bulk carrier. The biggest floating dock with capacity of 500,000 tons which is original designed and built obtained a number of national awards and invention patents. In 2011, CHI (Dalian) was awarded the title of “National High-tech Enterprise” and its technical center was awarded the title of “State-level Technical Center”.
