School of Natural Resource Management

The school of Natural Resource Management has three departments including Forestry and wood Science, Wildlife Management, and Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences.

The Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences had a number of activities in this academic year. The Department runs diploma, bachelors, Masters and Ph.D academic programs. During the course of this year the department engaged in a review of curricula to make them responsive to the current job market. From one original BSc. curricula, the department came up with four different curricula which have been packaged in the CUE format and is awaiting approval for them to be mounted from next academic year. These included BSc. in Aquatic Resource Management, Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries and Postharvest Technology, and Coastal and Marine Resource Management. The reviews of the postgraduate curricula are ongoing.
